We have scoured the web for the most useful healthcare-related RSS feeds. The term RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication"; it is a method for efficiently keeping up-to-date with websites which constantly change and update their contents.

Websites providing feeds of their content often display a universal feed icon [] near their syndicated offerings. Most modern browsers will allow you to bookmark these feeds, enabling you to quickly access the latest headlines from your internet favourites directory. Alternatively, you can use a news aggregation programme to collect your subscribed feeds together in one place.

RSS is one of several ways healthcare professionals can efficiently keep up-to-date with online media. If you want to learn more, the Student BMJ recently published an article on this subject by Alex Young, latterly one of DocCom's student interns, who is now an NHS Junior Doctor working in the South West of England.

We have grouped together newsfeeds by the topics shown below. Because their content is generated by third-parties, DocCom cannot be held responsible for the information, views or opinions syndicated in these feeds.

  • Healthcare in the News
  • Healthcare Journals [A to M]
  • Healthcare Journals [N to Z]
